Festival of the Masters Report and Images. (November 16, 2004)

By: Robin Werner of GFLTC

The GFLUG and GFLTC had a group display at the Festival of the Masters at Downtown Disney for the second year in a row. The event was great fun in spite of the weather, just a little dash of rain late Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Our display featured a LEGO® theme park with a land of tomorrow and a world expo area. The display was built and supervised by Lenny, KK Quah and myself for the three days of the event. The LEGO® Company had a nice display and play area as well with it's life sized Volvo XC 90!

By: Robin Werner of GFLTC

The GFLTC gets a new 6' x 12' Horton Hauler trailer to transport the club's layout to shows and events all over the state of Florida and beyond! No longer will getting form point A to point B be a big production for us. Now all we need is some cool logo work on the sides and some shelving.

The GFLTC wins 2nd place at the Great American Train Show (GATS) at it's new location! The Harborview Center in Clearwater, Florida was a great venue for this event and we hope that they return next year to this site. It was super close to home for me, with just a 15 min drive to the show!

Yet again another super GFLTC layout at the H & R Train Show! The weather was great and the attendance was great too. Special thanks to Ross and John Neal of the TCLTC for stopping in on us Saturday... And we all had fun trying our luck on the G-Scale down hill race using BBB wheels on LEGO® cars. But they fell short against the steel wheeled LGB flat cars. Maybe next time:)

BEST OF SHOW MODEL RR CLUB - GFLTC (club)
-

By: Robin Werner of GFLTC

The Greater Florida LEGO® Train Club had a great time at H. B. Plant Railroad Historical Society Train Show in Plant City, Florida. With this shows short setup time and being a one day show this was more trains than layout and featured a lot of track to run on. This layout was fun to run and watch with all of it live train action. Check out the pictures on BrickShelf.com.

GFLTC at the SMRC Show. (February 26, 2004)

By: Robin Werner of GFLTC

The members of the Greater Florida LEGO Train Club had a display and a great time one again at the Sarasota Model Railroad Club Train Show last February 21 and 22, 2004. The 22 x 16 foot display had three running train loops and models by KK Quah, Scott M and Myself. This was a nice little laid back event and went off with out a hitch. Just what I needed after a rockin' BrickFest in Portland. Here are the pictures of the show, check them out on BrickShelf.com.
